Damon Conley

Damon family

Damon Conley was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee and a proud graduate of Memphis Central High School. Damon accepted Christ at an early age and became very active in church under the leadership of his grandfather, the Reverend T.L. Stewart at Burning Bush Missionary Baptist Church. Damon was very active in athletics and musical endeavors while at Central High; obtaining many awards for football, track and field, and in choir.

Damon received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville majoring in Sports Management and Business. There was a void in his life that was not filled until he answered the call to ministry while in Knoxville, Tennessee. He moved back to Memphis and received his license in ministry in 2005 and was active as an Associate Minister at Berean Baptist Church. He had a hunger for a more in-depth study of the Word of God and enrolled at Union University in 2006 where he met John Carroll and Brian McCurry, two Pastorial Residents at Fellowship Memphis. John and Brian were very instrumental in Damon seeking ministry training at Fellowship Memphis. Damon married his high school sweetheart, Erika, in 2008 and graduated from Union University in May of 2009 with a Masters in Christian Studies. He hopes to return to seminary again soon. Damon currently serves as the football chaplain for Whitehaven High School through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and will continue his volunteer duties with the FCA outside of his ministry responsibilities at Fellowship Memphis. He is excited about the opportunity to serve Fellowship Memphis with his abilities and talents.
