Mondonico is a native Memphian. He is the product of the Shelby County School system and attended University of Memphis. While at University of Memphis, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a focus in Social Work and Behavioral Science. He spent eight years in the United States Navy and is a veteran of Operation Enduring freedom.

He came into the saving and redemptive power of Jesus Christ at the tender age of 15. It was then when he became acutely aware of God's call on his life into ministry. After his conversion, he served in the local church through singing, and as a sound tech with the media ministry. Six years later, while in the Navy, God lead him to Hawaii where he began to mature in the faith at the City of Refuge under the teachings of Dr. Wayne E. Anderson. During his time there, he served in the choir and the band (worship drummer and bass guitar player). Mondonico has served in almost every capacity within the local church. Despite such saturation within the church, the thought of vocational ministry never crossed his mind. He felt that he was best suited as a tent-making preacher. In 2002, he and his wife moved back to Memphis and opened a lifestyle photography company, Studio Aesthetic LLC. In the summer of 2003, he served as the youth pastor at Hosanna Christian Center. In 2007, he realized he needed more knowledge and his gift needed to be cultivated. Through his photography company, he met Damon Conley, who encouraged him to inquire about the residency program. After visiting and talking with some of the members and pastors, Mondonico knew that God was leading him and his family to Fellowship Memphis. In August 2008, he was challenged to hold off on seminary to attend the DownLine Institute.

Mondonico is passionate about the institute of marriage and family. He is excited about equipping families in fleshing out the gospel in the home, community, city, state, country, and the world! He is working on earning a Master of Divinity Degree at Mid-America Seminary in Cordova, TN while currently serving as Resident Pastor for Fellowship Memphis Downtown. He married his high school friend LaToshia in 1998. They have two girls, Mykenzie, Mykilei, and a son, Kylen. As parents, they are diligently raising their children to the glory of God.
