Katie Hobson was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She grew up attending church and Bible studies, but in hindsight realizes that what she thought was Christianity was nothing more than pharisaical legalism and morality. After graduating from St Mary's Episcopal School, she majored in Religion at Furman University. It was during her time at Furman that she was surrounded with believers who lived out their faith in more ways than mere morality. These friends were responsible for introducing her to the ministry of Campus Outreach. Through her time there, she realized the depth of her own sin and came to know Christ in a deeply relational way for the first time. The trajectory of her life was changed by having older women disciple her, training her up in spiritual maturity & disciplines, and teaching her to pour her own life into others through the avenue of life on life discipleship.
After spending her first year out of college interning with Campus Outreach at Virginia Tech, she moved back to Memphis to get more training through Downline Ministry's Emerging Leader program. She also had the opportunity to serve with Streets Ministries working with girls at Booker T Washington High School.
She is thrilled to now be able to vocationally combine her lifelong love of working with youth with her relatively newer passion for discipleship. She is excited about seeing students raised up who deeply love Jesus and desire to make His name great for a lifetime!
