Mark Ottinger
Mark Ottinger was born and raised in Dalton, Georgia. He attended college in Atlanta at Georgia Tech, where he played on the tennis team and was involved in Campus Crusade for Christ. After graduation, he moved to Denton, Texas to be part of a discipleship program under Tommy Nelson. Mark spent four years in Texas serving three years on staff with the college ministry at Denton Bible Church, graduating from Dallas Theological Seminary, and marrying his lovely wife, Tona.
Mark and Tona moved to Memphis in 1998, where Mark served as College Pastor at First Evangelical Church for four years. During that time, he opened a coffee shop. The Ugly Mug Coffee Studio provided a place to connect and minister to college students. Mark then partnered for the next seven years with some friends to expand Ugly Mug Coffee Co. into a coffee roasting and distribution company. It was also during that time he joined a core group of families to launch Fellowship Memphis.
Mark came on staff with Fellowship as our first Family Ministry Pastor in November of 2010. His ministry includes providing leadership for Fellowship Kids (children's ministry) and Engage 1.17 (adoption/foster care ministry), and investing in marriage enrichment.
Mark and Tona have been married since 1997. They have been blessed with four children: Camden, Mia, Mallie, and Dax.
