Building a Home in Orange Mound
- Mar 17, 2011
We are excited to be working with Memphis Leadership Foundation to build a home in the Orange Mound area of our City. At Fellowship, mission is not just a program of our church. It defines the church as God’s sent people. Why Orange Mound? The Orange Mound area has it’s share of empty lots and boarded up homes. Our efforts along with the leadership of MLF will help in repurposing at least one of these lots and empowering a family toward wholeness and stability through decent, safe, quality and affordable housing. Our contribution will enable Neighborhood Housing Opportunities to build the home more cost efficiently; thereby, making this particular unit more reasonable for the family who will be the residents. At the same time it’s one small step toward seeking the welfare of our city in this community-part of living life on Mission.
