Family Worship Day October 31
- Oct 25, 2010
Family Worship Day is scheduled for Sunday, October 31st as a purposeful way to familiarize our Kindergarten thru 5th grade children with corporate worship and the priesthood of all believers. We hope this opportunity serves as a reminder to your family and our body of the responsibility and privilege every parent is given by God to be the primary source of spiritual input in your child’s life each and every day.
Brian Crenshaw, father of three and Fellowship Memphis youth pastor, is excited about this strategic investment. “Letting my kids see adult worship is so beneficial to them and worth maybe having to go back and listen to the sermon again on the podcast,” he said. “It’s really a ‘both/and’ situation where I recognize that I am in the priest role in my house and still benefit from the equipping capabilities the church provides me in the spiritual leadership of my home.”
The Fellowship Kids exists for “supporting families in reaching kids and helping them grow into devoted followers of Christ.” Incorporating periodic and purposeful family worship days into the schedule gives children a glimpse into the deeper parts of their parent’s spiritual life, allows them to see communion acknowledged and practiced, and brings an opportunity for discussion of the bigger “why” questions.
Our church desires to equip you to disciple your children. For more information on our ministry and for questions about the resources we provide to families, email or ask a Fellowship Kids team member.
