Fellowship Family in Need

Fellowship Family,

As some of you may have heard, one of our families, long time members at Fellowship, lost their home in midtown to an electrical house fire Saturday. We are praising God that no one was home and that their family is completely safe now living with relatives who live directly across the street. But sadly they lost basically everything to the fire.

Many neighbors and church members have come to this family's aid bringing food and supplies. We wanted to share this opportunity to come alongside this family in whatever way the Lord may lead our Body. This young couple has 4 small children who are in need of clothing and supplies. As the family figures out future living arrangements we specifically seek assistance for their immediate needs only at the moment as we will keep you abreast of other needs that may arise.

To be sure the need for larger items that some of you may be able to donate like furniture and appliances will come in handy as they get settled. But for right now, gifts as simple as a Kroger or Target gift card will go a long way for them. You may bring gift cards to any of our services this Sunday and leave them at the info table.

Moving forward, our own Erin Hillis, a close family friend, is serving as the point person for this family. Erin can be reached at 901.921.4001 or at . Please contact her for info and to coordinate drop-offs for donations. The family is staying in midtown at 1753 Peach Avenue for now.

They are asking for prayer specifically for their children's hearts, for rest while they endure this challenge, and that they will fully embrace the lessons that the Lord has for them and their family. They are also praying that this circumstance will some way serve as a blessing to our church as well.

We praise God for them. Let's be praying for this opportunity to live out the gospel and love others well.
