Haiti occupies the western portion of the Caribbean island of Hispaniola. It is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. The earthquake in January of 2010 left 230,000 dead and 1.6 million homeless.

Pray for the ministries

• There are 48 known established ministries working in Haiti, including AMG International, World Relief, and Compassion International.

• Haiti serves as a Caribbean shipment point for cocaine in route to the US and Europe, and Colombian narcotics traffickers favor Haiti for illicit financial transactions.

• 80% of the Haitian population live under the poverty line and 54% live in abject poverty.

• Lack of clean water causes a high risk for major infectious diseases.

• Pray for the unreached Jew, French people in Haiti.
