Fellowship Memphis

From the very earliest days of Fellowship Memphis our dreams were bigger than simply planting a healthy, sustainable and influential church. We dreamed of being a “Teaching Church,” launching a movement of churches, and shaping the next generation of church leaders. The Fellowship Memphis Residency Program is a big part of that dream.
In a city with such a vibrant medical community, the idea of being a “Teaching Church” and having a “Residency Program” should be an easy idea for Memphians to grasp. Every hospital in our city has as its mission in some form or fashion the health and well being of their patients. Teaching hospitals add to that mission, the training of the next generation of health care providers. In the same way, we add to
our mission the mantel of leadership training and developing the next generation of church leaders.
Our Residency Program includes a huge dose of self-awareness, an indoctrination into the DNA of Fellowship Memphis, a daily front row seat to the ins and outs of church leadership, exposure to a multitude of leaders, and the chance to experience life and responsibility within the normal rhythms of our church. Some Residents come to us after completing Bible and Theological training but most are enrolled in Seminary while taking part in our Residency. 
We have celebrated six graduates of our Residency program and currently have six men and women in the Residency. Our Residents each raise support while in the Residency. A portion of our Engage Memphis funds help offset their seminary costs, and designated giving to our “Residency Fund” helps fill in some gaps and fund some additional training. 
As a Body, beyond financially supporting our Residents, praying for them, having them over for meals to meet your family and inviting them to training or learning opportunities in our city that you feel may better equip them would be great. We are so excited to invest in the future by investing in future leaders. Thanks for making it a reality with us!
