Paul...Timothy…Faithful Men…Others…

Fellowship Student Ministries (FSM) has spent the past 2 months going through a strategic planning process to tweak our discipleship structure. As a student ministry, we believe that FSM exists to support parents, guardians and students as they mature in their faith in Christ. We believe a discipleship structure that 1) comes along side families to equip parents to disciple their students and 2) provides a process for growth for students who don’t have a Gospel centered family structure, is the role we are called to fulfill as equippers of the saints.
Starting this spring, we have taken our small group Bible studies (which were no longer small!) and have broken them into smaller units we call “Discipleship Groups” or “D-groups” for short. Each student that desires to be part of this process is placed in a D-group with 2-6 other students along with 2-3 adult leaders. The D-groups meet twice a month and walk through Bible study curriculum together. Each leader has a couple of students they intentionally spend time with outside of D-group, teaching the students doctrine and sharing life experiences together.
We feel this overhauled structure will help our students go deeper in their faith and become laborers for the Gospel that one day takes what they have learned and “entrusts these things to faithful men who are able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2). Please pray for us!
