Aboout Fellowship Downtown from Pastor Ricky Jenkins...

Downtown Memphis. It's that strip of real estate that runs adjacent the mighty Mississippi to the West but to its East it boasts a kaleidoscope of activity that has made downtown Memphis famous for decades. Thrill seekers around the Mid-South and even the world know about the rich culture and history that downtown celebrates. It's the center of activity for music lovers. Some of the world's best jazz & blues can be heard as its bellowed out of the entertainment centers that have made Beale St. a paramount attraction throughout the years. Our neighborhood houses the Civil Rights Museum which vividly tells the story of the Civil Rights Movement and allows its visitors to never forget the advances that were made during the 50s and 60s of the previous century. Downtown features a hub of innovation for medical science with several medical facilities and schools that continue to garner a stellar reputation. And don't forget the South Main art galleries, the Main St. eateries & boutiques, and the vibrant interactions that take place on every corner as business people, artists, musicians, teachers, medical experts, and government officials interact with one another every single day!

All that said it's a no brainer why Downtown Memphis was chosen as the site for the 2nd Fellowship Outpost. What better place is there to shine the light of the gospel to so many potential influential leaders? The Downtown church is equipped to spread the Fellowship Memphis DNA & Core Values in a contextualized way that is respective of the Downtown scene. Downtown is a place where thousands of Memphians work through the week and play on the weekends. It's our prayer that our Outpost will serve this community by equipping them with the essence of the gospel in a manner that will be transmitted into the neighbors and coworkers it influences.

Fellowship Downtown features every service that Fellowship Memphis is known for; dynamic gospel-centered teaching, excellent kids ministry, a worship style that compliments our mission to celebrate diversity, and an equipping model of ministry that unleashes believers on the surrounding community in a visible and tangible way.

We celebrate innovative partnerships with the Memphis Union Mission and the Downtown Elementary School where we currently worship. Downtown Neighbors, a homeless and transient ministry, is a strategic effort of Fellowship Downtown that is on the ground building relationships with the less fortunate. Fellowship Downtown houses some of the city's strongest leaders. There are several members and attenders who lead ministries that offer a myriad of opportunities to serve including Habitat for Hope, HopeWorks, Streets Ministries, and Advance Memphis to name a few.

You may be the young professional looking for a place to connect and serve. Perhaps you're the family located just over the river in Arkansas or just below us in Southaven, South Memphis, and north MS. Maybe you're the midtowner or the uptowner. And you might be the person who just wants to worship and serve where you work through the week. Whatever the case, know that Fellowship Downtown is a gospel-centered, Bible believing church outpost that is ready to partner and serve the gospel alongside you.

Every Sunday at 11 am this outpost celebrates corporate worship and gives attenders opportunities to plug into the community via its small groups as well as other avenues like a monthly fellowship gathering called CONNECT which is open to members, attenders, and newcomers alike.

Come and experience what God is doing in downtown Memphis.

See ya downtown,

Ricky Jenkins
