Zion Cemetery has been our focus of community service this past year. Zion is the oldest African-American cemetery in Memphis with over 22,000 people buried on 15 acres. The cemetery is an important part not only of African-American history in Memphis, but of Memphis' general history, and our national history. The cemetery is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and located in the heart of the city of Memphis, Tennessee.
