Residency Program / Internships

One of the dreams and passions of Fellowship Memphis is to equip emerging leaders and build into future agents of change. One of the ways that happens is through our Residency and Internship experiences.

To borrow from the medical community, there are hospitals and there are teaching hospitals.  Both have as a primary goal the care and health of their patients…but one adds the responsibility to train the next generation of health care professionals.  We consider ourselves a “teaching” church.

Internships are usually one year in length and are designed to allow participants a chance to experience life on a church staff and get a glimpse of day-to-day church operations.  There is an intense focus on growth, service, and leadership development.

The Residency Program is usually two to three years in length.  It is an intense season of development and experiences designed to prepare and launch the participants into high-level leadership roles.  It is usually coupled with a graduate school degree program and provides immediate “on-the-job” training.  Residents get to experience major roles in several areas of our church and get to feel the weight and heat of leadership. Along with growth, service and leadership development…there is a large focus on self-awareness.

Both programs involve raising support.
